"Passé!" Monet said when burning his old work Now time for change- Goodbye Blog

Sorry Blog,
I'm Busy, Traveling and Immersed in my creativity...
I apologize for never really posting the goods,
 you did serve the purpose.
I will push to do better with the ambiguous self-promotion and slowly I will open up my work and my blessed creative life to the internet.
Although it will not be on here.....
I have a myriad of other exploits on this vast facade we call the World Wide Web.
The link below will take you to a few. Besides Monet said it for me.  Enjoy-
... as a nice farewell because not all of you can go to NYC and get in a Drake / Chris Brown / Rihanna hang out... (only jokes) as well as it kind of depicts the state the world is in, here is an image from one of the final stages to my entrance mural and installation at WIP NYC.

This is W.I.P. Work In Progress!!! WIP New York Entrance Mural Round 1

WIP New York is one of the newest and freshest clubs in NYC
W.I.P  aka Work In Progress - is a new exclusive club/space in New York City where art, music and everything in between come to play. It is located on the side and kind of under the already well known and established Greenhouse Super Club in Soho, Manhattan.
12 Artist from around the world were asked to work on the space and help start it off right by creating something unique. It officially opens in November but there are soft launches and events happening already. I was in NY doing promotion and a small launch event for my book, Next thing I need to change my ticket back to LA because I want an extra week to rock out on the entrance to this new place that will be slaying New York soon...
I was honored to be given a large area in the entrance. It was used to create a evolving space while I was there working on the mural/instillation. And so was born -
The Circus Economy Carny Photo Booth
Here are a few images form the beginnings...
I covered the ceiling in one area with "Hello My Name Is" stickers so that fellow creative cats had a place to get up!

People really dug my work and the staff were a cool bunch.
I shot classic images and portraits, I'm going back next month to do some more. Amped!!!
The last 2 are from Instagram to see more images check out -

'Some-Ting To Peep' Vol. 9

I was up in Durban for 2 mad weeks playing gigs, selling books, surfing in boardies, making art, skating Indigo and a whole lot more... I was able to photograph one of the largest collections of my good friend Buffy's work I have ever seen. All the work belongs to Mully the main O' and owner of Electric Eye Tattoo in Durban. He is a classic bru and a legend around the (031). When I talked to Buffy about Mully's collection, he said he did all that rad work for Mully because he has such a rad vibe. To be honest I am a bit envious of his Buffy collection and you will soon see why.... Enjoy-

Buffy Braveart - About as True of an Artist as you get these days

Buffy is not your normal every day Joe, he is like a classic modern day version of Renaissance Painter but with a bit of Lobo or Tank Girl thrown in there.
You don't meet too many cats like that these days...

Here is a bit of his this and that

Ruff' Sketch for Exhibition Flyer

Three Stories - One Night Only
Mixed Media Painting (Co-Lab w/ Mak1one and Bison)

Canvas from a recent solo exhibition

Cover Art for a Trance CD (his old school artwork)

This Photo is a section of the eyes
from a large painting Buffy did of me, it took almost 5 years and 4 other canvases for me to get this piece. Every time he finished a painting for me it would get swooped up by some random collector or gallery before I could link with him to get it. He had this painting hung in his studio for a few months and had to turn down some huge offers for the piece. He told me how the painting almost seem to be looking after him and that it would appear to change mood or feeling from day to day. If you ever get to see the whole painting you will know it was well worth all the time and weight.

Most people will prob. not be able to get hold of him,
for now check out a small sample of his work on FB -

Strap a Really Expensive Camera To My Chest and See What Happens at Adidas Originals - Three Stories Cape Town (Video Clip)

For the past 5 weeks Adidas Originals has turned the Woodstock Industrial Centre into a massive 2010 World Cup Soccer viewing area and hipster loitering zone. The place has basically turned into a home where artists, sculptors, photographers and general trendsetters link up to watch the games, cool out and have a blast. Three Stories played host to six different Art Exhibitions, a top class mini-ramp downstairs, HD projector screen upstairs, free-flowing freshly-popped popcorn, a good selection of booze, homemade food, as well as live acts and DJ's rocking out just for kicks'. I played a few different roles over the more than month long event; I DJ'ed a few gigs (like at one of the main Graffiti Exhibitions) as well as helped host a couple fun skateboard events. In addition to my normal photo/jurno antics I was a contributing artist to a few of the exhibitions. During the first week I helped the film crew shoot some great skate footage on the mini-ramp. They strapped a very pricey high end digital SLR to my chest and had me skate the mini-ramp. The footage came out too sick, and i will make sure I get the raw clips from them. But in the mean time here is the short promo video for the event. Enjoy-
