Double D in the LBC - Dlamini Dlamini Heads States Side To Show Us How He Rolls'

Dlamini Dlamini (aka - Double D), one of my good Brus' from South Africa, was recently sent to the US to skate the Tampa comp and rip it up in my home town...

I got back from NYC and checked an email that said something about being on Broadway near Roscoe's - What? You in my hood?

We linked, chilled, pushed around, shot some stuff and I even showed him what up with Carne Asada...

Look out for Double D on the up and up in the Skateboard World.... Enjoy-

Coastal Havoc - Part 2 (Winter 2011)

I was blessed with a lot of Jeffrey's for weeks on end. This is what they call 'Booll'Shit' J-Bay in Oz, if you are even lucky enough to witness this magic in real life...
I was able to spend some time with Derek Hynd (who I quoted in the final page of my coffee table book about South Africa). We got to surfed a few gems around the eastern cape and shared some cool times; I even squeezed out a few of his wild ideas on a new board to challenge the norm!
And a Big up to the cool and collected Taylor Claire Miller as well...

Inspired By Derek Hynd, but he made me use my ideas for this finless surfboard to become a reality; Along with the help of 4 totally different surfboard shapers. Behold the DreamWeaver!!! (more on that soon...)

Mark Appleyard & Chris Haslam - Back in South Africa, for a bit of skateboarding and a whole lot more!!!

Mark Appleyard & Chris Haslam were in South Africa recently for the Globe SA Tour, this tour was also part of a Public Qualifier Series for the The Maloof Money Cup later in the year. We linked up a couple times for beers as well as had a few rad skate sessions. Chris Haslam is a classic dude and makes the funniest calls, not to mention he kills 'anything' on a skateboard. He has a copy of ('Expressions Book One South Africa') my big bad baby at his home in Canada - more on that soon.....

Mark Appleyard lives in Cali near my home town of LB and we know/knew a few of the same cats. He is super chilled out, even when he's throwing hammers on a useless wooden toy.

I got some top class images over the few days they were here but most are reserved for print media, here is a little bit of what went down.....

Justus Kotze stretching out a solid Smith grind

I did a semi-serious interview with a national TV news channel about a some current issues and the level of Skateboarding in South Africa. Still working on getting a copy, it has to be classic, a few cats from all over told me about seeing it air. I'll get my hands on it for sure...

The Boyz' did us proud...

Here is a short video of some of the skateboard handrail highlights...
